Host rules & responsibilities

These are the rules every Abet host agrees to. Read them, then confirm below.

  1. Run contests exactly as published. Abet sets the matches, the scoring, and the deadlines. You choose which contests to run for your community. You never change a fixture, a score, or an outcome.
  2. Arrangements with players stay outside Abet. Abet does not process, verify, or hold anything on your behalf. Whatever you agree with a player is between you and that player, and honouring it is your responsibility alone.
  3. Grant entries only after your arrangement is complete. You may grant entry slots only to your own active players, and only once you have accepted their arrangement. Each player may hold up to ten slots in one contest.
  4. Never play in a contest you run. Neither you nor anyone you invite to help you may hold an entry in your own contests. Play elsewhere if you want to play.
  5. Predictions stay private until the deadline. You cannot see a player’s picks before the contest locks, and you must never ask a player to reveal them. You can see who has finished and remind those who have not.
  6. Settle promptly and completely. When a contest is finalised, pass on winnings without delay and keep what you owe Abet up to date. Delays and disputes are the fastest way to lose a host account.
  7. Communicate honestly with your community. No invented results, no misleading promises, no pressure to take part. A contest that costs something to enter is never presented as free.
  8. You are accountable for your team. Anyone you invite to help run your contests acts in your name, and their actions remain your responsibility. Every action either of you takes is recorded and auditable.
  9. Protect the people who play with you. Adults only. Treat players fairly, keep their personal information private, and never share it outside Abet.
  10. Breaking these rules ends the relationship. Abet may freeze or suspend a host account, with the reason recorded. Serious or repeated breaches end the relationship permanently.
